I am in the market for some new USB Type-C cables and I am aware that not all of them follow the correct specification and can damage whatever is plugged in to them. Google engineer Benson Leung has done a lot of work (and fried some devices!) testing USB Type-C cables and reviewing them on Amazon.com. I’ve attempted to find the equivalent products on Amazon.co.uk and have listed them here alongside the relevant review.

Update I ended up buying a pack of the Orzly Cables (4 cables for £14.99 in funky colours) and the Anker adapters and I’ve been very pleased with both. All going strong nearly a year later.
