It’s really easy to set up Node-RED to send and receive alerts from Pushbullet. The node is available here, and can be installed with
npm install node-red-node-pushbullet
Configure the node by adding your API key which is created by going to https://www.pushbullet.com/#settings and selecting Create Access Token.
The Input node receives all messages from all devices, there is a device filter but this didn’t seem to make any difference when I tried it. It also receives notifications when messages have been dismissed. The Output node can send a message to all the devices connected to Pushbullet.
The great thing about using Pushbullet is that you can get notifications to your phone, computer desktop or whichever device you are using.
